this thread is mainly for the Canadians who love their GRAY tools(not Grey), but also for anyone who likes Gray tools:),
their winter promotion flyer is out and they have a couple decent promotions.

One in particular, is they have 4 sets of 3/8" sockest purchase any of those and get a freebee t90 3/8" ratchet.

speaking of gray, they are carrying Grip On locking pliers now anyone have experiences with these locking pliers? if so a little firsthand experience review be appreciated:)

They have few nice options on their pliers.

I have a bunch of Grip-ons that I bought through Gray Tools and I much prefer them to Vise-Grips (do a search, lot's of discussion on these). Seems to me that for the last 6-8 months, those pliers have been in the promo flyers every other month or so. You can get the same pliers through Snap-on (Blue-Point) etc, but they're not the awesome orange colour.

Edit: Also, check out my thread here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30915&highlight=toys&showall=1

There's a pic of the pliers at the top and my review is further down.

Too bad i dont need any more sockets. I like Gray tools.

Are their ratchets still Canadian sourced? Last week i was at a store that sold Gray, and the screwdrivers (orange plastic handle) and plastic handled ratchet was Made in US i believe. Im positive on the screwdriver and 90% on the ratchet. I wasnt crazy on the head of the plastic handled ratchet. It was rather large and kinda felt stiff like a chinese ratchet:wtf: Can anyone confirm what models ratchet are Canadian?

RCM: I have many gray tools. Most are sockets and chisels. All are canadian except for the replacement 1/2" strong arm ratchet socket that i got as warranty replacement.

I cant say for sure that its china as it wasnt in a box, but it has that china "feel". Its hard to describe, but i think you know. Just the rough finish, quality of casting, colour of the chrome. Just my gut feeling.

On the Ratchet it was the same. I cant quantify it, but it just looked like there was some chinese parts in it.
