Does anyone know what type of grease to use in the Aircat 1150 and 1055? I see that IR makes a couple of different flavors for their gun. Also, how often should I have to add the grease? I've sent them a couple of emails but haven't gotten a response yet.

I would just get the impact maintience kit from ir, it includes a small grease gun that fits the small fitting on The impact. The get the grease based on whether the impact has a metal or composite housing

Thanks. That is what I was thinking. The only wrinkle is that the 1150 has a composite housing while the 1055 is aluminum alloy.

a good rule of thumb for the IR guns is to grease it before the hammer rattles noticeably when you twist it back and forth. In other words hold it at your side from the handle without the hose on it and and twist your wrist back and forth. It will make a loose metallic sound at that time.
