Grease tube storage

Anyone have a good way to store unused grease tubes?

I keep 3 different grease guns with 3 different types of grease for my needs. I keep at least 2-4 extra tubes around the shop along with what’s in the grease guns. Currently I just keep them on a shelf. I’d like to find a better way to store them. Any recommendations/pics?

Thanks in advance

I like the idea for storing the gun but I’m looking for ideas how to store the tubes of grease themselves. Thanks for the response!

This is what I use to store a carton of 10 grease cartridges. Top load, bottom dispensing. You can see at a glance how many you have in inventory.

It is a prototype I made twenty years ago.

The new tubes I just keep in the box sealed end down. I have found that the guns work best if hung with the head down, that way the grease stays in the head and you dont have a big air bubble to bleed out just when your needing to use it.

That's a fantastic idea, I might have to make my own version.

You should sell those, I would buy one.

Thanks Jeepster.

I ran into the same problem as others with a bright idea. In order to bring it to market at a reasonably attractive price point the initial investment was way beyond my means.

And even if I did that ......within six months the market would have been flooded with inferior or questionable quality clones.

...And you can bet Jeg's would be the first to do it.

Old thread bumped, but what the hell....

My tubes are just standing up on a shelf with other fluids and shop supplies.

I buy it by the case, so I just leave them in the box on the shelf.

for my oddball stuff (ie food grade, etc.) that I only keep one or two around, an empty saran wrap or aluminum foil box works perfect. I just lay the tube in the box so it won't roll around.
