So I've got a terribly greasy floor I'm battling. The guy had been a mechanic in it for more then 15 years and it showed. I approached the problem gradually by starting with Dawn dish soap. It takes grease out of your way right...:) This did nothing so moved on to Zep Purple. I did that 3 times non diluted. It took some off but barely. Then I moved to a borrowed pressure washer. I used a gas powered Craftsman, 2600 psi. Twice. Now we're getting somewhere. Here's a little before and after.

It looked a lot better in person than it does in the pics. I was almost ready to just pressure wash the floor clean until I realized this took me 3 hours to do. Who has that kind of time...seriously? Fred from Alpha Garage mentioned some of Wolverine's degreaser and oil eater microbes. Sounds cool. I put an order in and 3 business days later DHL drops it off. I used the degreaser non diluted. I poured it on, let it sit for 10 min, scrubbed for 10 min, rinsed, and squeegeed. After that was the oil eater microbes.

It has the viscosity of warm syrup and a gal covers about 200 sq ft. I spread that over the main grease area then lay some plastic on top of it overnight.

The next day (24 hours later) I rinsed thoroughly and the floor looks like this.

I didn't think it'd clean the floor that well. I don't know yet if it's still wet or if the darker area has some grease left in it. If I need to do a second coat, so be it.

Hey Slim... For stubborn stains you can 'reawaken' the microbes by agitating them with a deckbrush (or broom). The key is keeping them wet (like you did with putting the plastic over them). If these microbes are kept wet (you may even add water over time), they can continue to eat oil for up to 30 days (when you keep them wet and agitated)! They die when they dry out. Also, shake them up in the bottle about 3-4 hours before use and then again right before use will disturb their slumber.

It's kind of like thanksgiving dinner. You sit at the table and eat until you are overstuffed... THEN... you go sit on the couch for awhile. Later, if someone agitates you... well... you might get back up and go get you a little snack... You are providing Thanksgiving Dinner! Wooo Hooo...

I'm not sure if we got those instructions passed off well to Fred for you or not... if you need another gallon just talk to Fred and we'll take care of you.

That's good to know. I put some more microbes down yesterday and I'm gonna let 'em feast for a couple days. I'm really surprised how clean this stuff can get some concrete (honestly, it should. It's damn spendy:))
