Just ordered a set, there's some mixed reviews on Amazon, but at this price it seems hard to go wrong
On further investigation it looks like these are made in China instead of Italy, no thanks, I canceled my order. Being made in China may explain the negative reviews about inconsistent quality

How did you come to that conclusion? Just wondering?

When I look up the part number on Acme, it shows Italy as the country of origin

By searching various web sites, some said Italy but more indicated China. I just got a confirm from Menards that they're made in China.

They were once made in in Italy, but obviously folks never updated their website after the change - possibly intentionally? it's very interesting how the COO is hidden or hard to find when something comes from China. If they're so embarrassed by this fact why not have products made in a friendly country without all the negative baggage?

also, it says made in China in upper right of photo on Menards (blurry, but legible).
