I'm on the fence on this one as I want to replace my Ridgid 24v LXI combo.

But I think I may hold out for brushless versions? Decisions, Decisions?

Im in the midst of replacing my Ridgid 18V NiCD combo. Seeing as how I kept them for 8 years (and they are still going, except for the new replacement batteries that dont quite fit into the drill), Im going brushless even with the extra cost.

The HD $150 off promo is putting me over the edge that I shouldnt be put over. On the other hand, Im in the middle of a 6 month remodel of our basement so Ill call it treating myself.

The Ridgid 18v and 24v tools are all interchangeable with the new lithium batteries (although you will still need a new charger potentially). Not to prevent a guy from getting new tools, but that might be an option.

I am on the fence..all I need is the saw which I can get for $110. I have 2 of the 20volt dewalt brushless Drill/Driver combos from HD. Should I pass or buy the set and try to sell off what is not needed?

drill driver 100-150 with batts/charger????

I ran the numbers on it. If you buy the kit and sell it off piecemeal at the going eBay rates, after shipping and fees the kit would net $260.57 plus a tool bag. I never figure in a sale of the bag as most of the bags are too big and sell for too little to make shipping them worth it.

My advice, if you don't need the whole kit would be to just buy the piece you need. Selling off all the other pieces is a lot of work for $10.

...unless you want 75% of the pieces, then I would rather buy the kit and sell the extras off. Knowing where it came from and having a receipt (guaranteeing warranty) is worth the hassle of selling off 1 or 2 tools to me.
