I have a Joby Gorrilatorch that I use when working on the car and under the car. It has a bright LED light and a flexible tripod to position it to aim at your work. The bottoms of the legs are magnetic so you can stick it to the car just about anywhere. I picked one up on the net for $20 including shipping. Much better than the old traditional drop light.
