I just put up my maxjax a couple wks ago and it was lifting uneven then i noticed one of the cylinders was leaking out of the seal, and it was the side that was always alittle lower then the other one. I called dannmar customer service and they shipped me out a brand new cylinder no questions asked. I got it in 3days. I installed it and no problem no more leak and it lifts even now.

I also have to say that I've had only positive experience with them. I also had a problem with uneven lifting and they shipped a brand new cylinder to me and mine weren't even leaking.

I was browsing through the forums and saw this,

Awesome to hear that the company takes care of their customers!

so would you guys recommend the MaxJax for a 2-post? Been told its one of the better lifts and it's fairly easy to set up/use(im new to all of this haha)

thanks for the help!

Easy to set up and use. My only problem has been lifting uneven. I had the leaking cylinder and they sent me a replacement. Now they just sent me a new flow divider. I just put it on and raised my sisters car and it worked perfect.

The few problems I've had with my MaxJax were taken care of very promptly and professionally by Dannmar Customer Service (and Gabe personally!)

I've even had follow-up calls weeks later to be sure everything was ok. Just think how nice it would be if all customers were treated as well as Dannmar treats theirs!

sorry to bring up an old thread but i have a seal leak on my maxjax too and i am dealing with them since a month now and their replies are really slow and service is not very good. I am from quebec and can't call them so the email is the only way for me. Did they change things in their customer service in the past few months? for the price i bought the lift i think is not a good thing to have a bad service. and the lift is nearly new and already leaking.

Why can't you call them?? Danmar's number is 1-877-432-6627.
That 877 area code makes it a toll-free number and that area code should work at no cost

they referred me to the company garage equipement supply. i have installed my lift a few month after i bought it. It began leaking 2 weeks after installing it. They said the lift is out of warranty. I took the leaky cylinder to my local hydraulic shop the guy had a look at it and he said its not only the seal but the entire cylinder that is garbage. 350$ to repair or bought a new cylinder from garage equipement supply that cost the same price....not very nice but what can I do?? nothing i have to buy a new cylinder for my almost brand new lift that cost me 2300$....not very happy. and it makes the product look like a cheap china product.

on a positive note, the product worked very well for a very short period of time and i like it a lot but for now it just a dust collector in the middle of my garage hehe.

I've also used my lift a handful of times over a few weeks of total use and one side is slower than the other. It's getting worse and worse, and now I'm seeing the seal on the slower column is leaking, and it's quickly getting worse so I'm not comfortable using the lift now.

I emailed Gabe but never heard back, and actually I checked back in today and the email bounced back...uh oh....

Gabe is no longer there. But Dannmar is a big company and I would be willing to bet if you contact them (remember the squeeky wheel theroy) and would like to fix it (and also mention you are a GJ forum member...negaitive press if no help) and see what happens. I have had great luck with my Maxjax and the couple of minor issues I had they helped really fast...
