I just wanted to write on a good experience I had with Williams tools.
I had an old ratchet S-52 superratchet. The selector quit working. I took the head apart and found that a part of the selector was broken off. The part that broke off held the two ball bearing in place for the pawls.
I called Williams to see what a rebuild kit would cost. I was told it was too old and parts were not available. She than told me that I could send the wrench in and they would warranty it.
The big decision I had to make. Do I get a new ratchet and give up my 50 year old ratchet or repair with some old parts. I decided that my ratchet was beat up enough where it would never be a collector so I sent it in for warranty. These old ratchets in nice shape don't cost that much and when I come across one I would buy another old one.
11 days later I got my new S 52a in the Mail. It's alot nicer than what I was expecting.
It seems alittle stiff , but over-all really nice.
Hopefully another 50 years of use.
