So my 5 year old sons teacher wanted to talk to my wife and I about something that happened at school. The story is, my son took his 20 school dollars ( you earn them for doing good in class) and went to cash them in for a prize. The teacher handed him a toy, my son took the toy flipped it over then handed it back and said this toy is made in china I would like my money back please. Ha ha. He said thats what dad does at the store.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this by the way.

I found the story amusing. As I often do this when I look at tools in retail stores.

When my little boy years ago was asked in school the following question by the teacher it made me laugh...

Teacher to my son "If the item costs 99 cents and you hand them $1.00 Dollar will you be able to buy that item?"

My son replies "No that will not buy the item".

Teacher somewhat shocked and taken back asks why not.

My son replies "oh you forgot about the Tax";" that's what my mom & dad talk about".

Only from the mouth of babes.:rocker::lol:

Thanks everyone, it made my day. It means hope for the next generation. He must have been watching me when I went to change out a broken ratchet at sears some time ago ha ha. I ended up leaving the ratchet their and we both drove 30 miles to the "wright supplier".

You know what this means don't you ?

When he gets into his rebellious teens, he'll be buying imports just to piss off the ol' man.

Who knows?
Awesome story!

So was the teacher "counseling" ya'll on your narrow minded ways? Or just mentioning it b/c it was funny?

The teach was concerned about it, I pretty much told her if the shoe fits...
Why hide the truth from the younger generations.

Why should the teacher be concerned about it? If you don't want to buy things made in China and your son picks that up what concern of her's is that?
