Hey guy's I put siding on my house last year, and my home had furring strips. So I just used those to fasten the the new siding to the house. There's obviously a gap between the siding, and the space in between the strips. So, could I use the Great Stuff to fill in the gaps, or would it expand to much, and create a bulge in the siding? I should say that the bottom of the siding at the starter strip is where I would be using it. Any Thoughts?

I would use rigid foam, cut it to fit, then fill in with the foam that comes out 80=90% expanded. Might be worth buying a gun for a job that size.

If the furring strips are the ones I'm thinking of, a vertical strip every 16 inches or so tacked to the sheathing, those provide a drainage plane for wind-driven rainwater that gets behind the siding to escape. you want to keep that open.
