Ok So I came into a collection of FireFighter Bunker Coats. All Are Used!!! None of them are NFPA Rated anymore So no They Will not Protect your @ss in a Fire. But they are great durable work coats, They have the Liners in them still so Warm and Semi Waterproof. I Keep an Extra in my Truck All year round. I got mine on Friday. Just what I was expecting. There's heat damage to the "waterproof" layer on the liner, but the outer shell is great as a shop coat. I just took a few minutes with a seam ripper to remove the "features" I wasn't interested in, and added a couple of snaps near the ends of the sleeves that let me roll up the cuffs and snap them back (for my short arms).
The only downside I've noticed: no pockets on the outside. It makes sense, per design, but that's something I may have to change eventually.

FYI this guy does not come through on the sale - goods never received - rlitman must have lucked out. He's not online much so probably not a worry to anyone, but he gave me a heartache story about his family and being away and then still didn't send the goods after nearly 60 days. Unfortunately Paypal claims are only good for 45 days. Serves me right for buying from a newbie - but I am always optimistic about working guys being stand up guys.

Good news is it was only about $65. Bad news is I have to spend the rest of my life debasing his character (cause I'm bent that way).
