Anybody use them?

Have an very wide garage door and it moves a bit in the wind ... thinking these may help.

Installed a set on both my 16x8 doors about a month ago and it was a huge improvement over the stock hinges. Even during high winds, the doors are almost silent. I also noticed a noise reduction while the doors are being operated.

Did you get the residental or commercial hinge? I am also in WI and when it is cold and windy my doors move. Even in a 1.5 year old house the door moves. I keep my garage somewhat heated and any help sealing it better will help keep it warmer. I only heat it when I am in it but when I am not it stays around 35-40 degrees.

Do these go on where the rollers only? Do you need matching ones for the center of the door. I have a 1/8" gap that wind creates on my door. One spot. I tried everything. This might be the solution.

They go on the outside edges only. Nice sturdy construction and enabled me to work in the garage today right by the doors. Outside: 8 , inside: 52

I've got a set on 6 overhead doors at my shop. They work very well! I think I posted pictures somewhere last year when I installed them.

I noticed the comments on the ordering page right after placing order about needing the commercial version for 16ft doors. So I called and spoke with Lester and he did recommend the commercial version... so my order was updated. Great company to deal with as I had a couple questions when installing mine and Lester returned my call super fast, even though it was Sat.

Roller sides only.
I should have switched to nylon rollers while I was at it.
Door is now essentially silent, should be silent when the nylons get installed.
I used the residential, I think Lester, the guy who invented them, told me the commercial have a different bolt pattern, but call him to confirm that. He returned my emails within the same minute....
There is a code for ten percent off on the GJ advertiser page.

Many people have commented on the quiet combo of these hinges and an 8500....

Where is this code you speak of? Please advise. Thanks.
