Green Lamps

So I stumbled upon this website and found some pretty cool lamps

My question is how were they able to use the faucet handles as on off switches?

Pretty cool but too expensive.

I'm sure for the faucet handle they incorporated some kind of turn switch like the old school lamps used to have.

It appears to me that the only thing "green" about them is the "green" they move from your pocket into theirs.

neat stuff but as with all 'hip' and 'green' stuff its ridiculously overpriced
