green snap on tool boxes

hi i just happen to find this site trying to get some info on some tool boxes and tools i have had for years about 20 years i bought a piece of property with a auto repair shop from the early 1900s the shop was still like it was when they close up in the 50s i was told by neihbors that the owner died and no one did anything with the property for years i kept some of the stuff before i sold the property i have two green tool boxes the top and the bottum with wheels and a lot of tools all snap on i will post some picture if your willing to help me figure out what there worth im a big harley lover and have kept the tool boxes in the garage near the bikes and it looks nice there i have also been made offers from antique car collector i've been offered up to $1000 for the boxes only and didn't sell them did i make a mistake

The value is going to depend a lot on what model, what age and what condition. Detailed pictures are going to be the only way to give you any kind of true estimate on value.

That and we just like to see cool old tools.

The box is most likely a late 30's-early 40's box, when a grey-green color was used. Often this paint has turned to a brownish green over time, but well preserved examples are still a nice grey-green color. The oldest snap on boxes were a different shade of green (more green, less grey in tone), but a rolling combo like this will be 30's and later era. The oldest combo's would have been black, then changing to grey-green mid 30's. When pics come along, we can get a better idea of model number, value, etc.
