Greenfield Tap and Die Set Question

Is it my imagination or have many of the Greenfield / O.K. tap and die sets I see on eBay have had the original die handles which had the centering screw plates been replaced with die handles without the centering screw plates?

I only have one with the centering screw plates, an SWCard. None of my Greenfield wrenches have them.

OK, thanks. The reason I asked is the smallest die handle had the centering screw plate. Plus I have seen other brands with it as well. Does this attachment really help or does it get in the road of doing a good job?
