I went here a few weeks ago and filled out the form.

I figured it would be another never-materializing promo. Much to my surprise, the free hat, along with a brochure, arrived yesterday.

I'll be taking a closer look at those new Greenlee hand tools

Signed up. Thanks.

Anyone know if their tools are any good? They look a lot like Klein.

They have always been on the specialty side of electrician's tools. I have some old knockout punches, fish tapes, etc.,by Greenlee...but Klein was always the brand of choice for screwdrivers and pliers amongst the unwashed electricians in my family.

Either they look like Kleins to attract the cushion-handled loyals, are they are Kleins...

I thought their screwdrivers looked exactly like Kleins which are made by Reed Prince, in the USA, didn't see Taiwan on them?

I have some Greenlee electrician tools and have had good luck with them. Most of mine are so old, that they must have been made here in the states, since no one was importing tools back then. Up until recently, HD was selling Greenlee tools in the electrical department. Don't know what happened, but they switched over to another brand. They came with a lifetime warranty except for damage by live circuits. Like any lifetime guarantee the guarantee is only as good as the dealer that sells it, so don't expect to exchange a tool at your local electrical supply house, unless you do business there.

Thanks for the post. I work in communications and use klien nomaly, but tools disappear on jobs. I check them on planes so I don't have many good tools. If the bag gets "lost" I'm not out as much. That said I do have a nice set of drivers. The 10 in 1 tool gets a lot of use.

Wow....never heard of Greenlee? I can remember wondering in awe over my dad's KO punches in their leather rolls when I was about three years old. He showed me how they worked when I was five, and "helping" him with some wiring.

Haha.... yeah I remember my grandfather, great uncle's, etc all used to have racks of freebie hats they'd get from different machinery companies, salesmen, etc. Anymore everyone wants to charge you $15 to advertise on YOUR head! Nuts..

Ditto on getting the hat.

I like this company so far. Never purchased from them.

I sure wish they had more mechanics tools like ratchets and sockets, etc...
