Hi everyone, my first post here.

I accidentally found this forum last night while doing a Google search under the description of "Snap-on F80" when I discovered this board. Up until now I thought I was the only guy on the planet who was obsessed with high-end tools; but apparently though, I'm in good company.

I'm also a member over at BITOG under the same user name in case anyone wants to talk about motor oil some time.

By the way, do you guys know if Snap-on is going to permanently phase out their 936 series line of ratchets? I noticed they no longer have the F936 part number listed on their site.

I've been wishing for a forum like this for a long time! All the other boards that I've signed up on don't seem to understand what it's like to be obsessed about tools.

I took an aviation maintenance course at community college back in the early 90's and they had some Snap-on tools and a couple of small airplanes in the building. While all the other students were busy talking about airplanes, all I wanted to do was gawk at the tools.

I wanted to feel the smoothness of the chrome wrenches, smell the sweet sugary aroma of the plastic screwdriver handles, and hear the sound of the ratchets make that wonderful click.

Actually, it's the old style MAC comfort grip screwdriver handles that smell the most sugary; it's something about the type of plastic they use. Definitely on my top 5 list of best smells in the world.

You need to wash your hands first, then smell them.
