Wonderful website here, I've been reading all over and enjoying it quite a bit. I have a basic attached 2 car garage/man cave that's been an overflow from the house and is in shackles as my wife and I have been preparing for our first born's arrival any day now. I am in the process of building a detached storage building and dirt floor barn to park my truck and other things in, hoping to get enough space to give me my garage back as well. So far we've been site clearing a spot out of the woods and finalizing the designs. Being that I'm on a tight budget with a baby almost here and I'm doing it legal by abiding to my county building department my designs have been evolving. I will be lurking!

I did mine legal had to summit plans and pay money for a permit. Did all the build myself wasn't all that bad never had built anything this big big before 26x40 addition on to 20x22 garage. This was my 1st foundation and framing job ever. I passed all the inspection's so far only have final inspection left good luck on your's

Congrats on the forthcoming family expansion. Actually it is the family addition, the expansion has been going on for 9 months.

Good luck on your plans and project. But we would rather you jump in instead of just lurking...
