I've lurked here off and on for about a year.
I'm a do-it-yourself-er. My single car garage, I think around 17' by 22' is storage from our small house (bins and overbuilt 2x4/2x2/plywood shelving) as well as several bicycles to support my cycling habit, and a bunch of currently disorganized tools for home projects and bicycles. My hope and dream is that with enough planning and organization, it will some day hold all of my stuff and occasionally a car.
I know there are plenty of other lurking and occasionally contributing non mechanics. Hopefully I will have $0.02 worth throwing in occasionally as well.
