Hello everyone, just started lurking here and I figured I’d make a post.

I live in East Cobb/Marietta, just outside the perimeter in Atlanta. I’m a 40-something guy with an engineering background. My house has a two car garage; I have a family with two active pre-teen kids, and all the requisite stuff.

I’m lucky to have a nice big basement with a workshop, which is good for storing tools and supporting my guitar hobby. Unfortunately it’s not much use for my car hobby. My wife and I each have a daily driver, and I have a 1992 Miata that I’ve been building into a track car for the last 3 years.

The corners of my garage that aren’t full of kids bicycles and sporting equipment are filled with car parts, welders, air tools, etc. I’m looking forward to learning from you guys so I can get things in proper shape.

Used to live there. Know the town like a cab driver and glad to be gone. It is just too big, too many cars and too many idiots. East Cobb is nice as long as you don't work downtown. You have come to the right place for car info and some interesting opinions also.

My family and I are city people, and we love living in East Cobb. After stops in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Austin, and Memphis, this is our favorite city yet. Atlanta is huge though, and I know a lot of people that don’t like it and I understand why. There are tons of people and tons of cars. If you live way out in the sticks and commute to midtown, it must be miserable.
