OK, I've done quite a few google searches regarding tools, opinions, etc., and I keep ending up here, so thought I'd register and check it out. From the looks of things, I'm nowhere near the level of anybody here, but...I guess that means I'll be on the receiving end of the learning exchange
I'm from N. CA and a casual wrencher on VW TDI's. I have remodeled the interior of a house before (no wall building / demos, mostly cosmetic stuff). I write and talk for a living (school psychologist), so the 'hands-on' stuff doesn't come very easy for me. However, I enjoy it and I follow directions well, so things usually turn out ok..
So, I'm here to learn and check things out. I'm now interested in your classified section, as I'm still building my toolbox (do we ever actually stop?)
Anyway, looking forward to checking things out. I should mention that I have 8 week old twin girls, so my forum participation isn't quite what it used to be...
but, looking forward to some more stuff to read during those 4:30am feedings...
