Greetings from Dublin, Ohio.
I am in the process of building a new garage 24'X35'. That is the largest I can build on our property as per the City of Dublin. This is a detached garage and a supplement to the 2 1/2 garage on the house.
Being of Irish decent and living in Dublin you know that Murphy's Law is in full affect.
They poured the floor on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning I found 6 cracks radiating in different directions. They are hairline cracks, but they are still cracks! The contractor called the concrete supplier who promptly informed him that it must be his fault! No new cracks have formed since the first day.
The contractor said that he will grind the cracks and epoxy fill them, and then epoxy coat the whole floor. He has told me this will solve the problem. He has a great reputation for garage builds and said he will do what ever it takes to make me happy.
I just hope the rest of the build goes smoothly!
I am looking forward to gleaning information from this forum to have a very useful and well equipped garage.

KK57: it sounds like you have a good contractor. how thick did he (you) pour the floors and any rebar? the fix sounds pretty good for the cracks and i hope you don't have any more show up. any pictures to post to show us of the work so far on your new shop?

welcome
