Hello from Central Finland,

about a week ago I started to renovate our detached 2-car garage. Garage is 6m x 8m (about 19'8" x 26'3") with additional storage for garden tools. Total size is 6m x 10,44m (about 19'8" x 34'3"). These are inside measurements.

To-do-list is following:
1. Insulation
2. Heating
3. New Floor
4. New Drywalls (walls&ceiling)
5. More lights
6. More electric sockets
7. Anything else (reading GJ doesn't help)

I have already removed old drywall ceiling and walls. Insulation is next project.

We have also attached 1-car garage, but it is currently dedicated home-theatre.

I'm a newcomer to this site myself and you're the first new member I get to welcome.

So, WELCOME!

Now I'll admit I'm a bit of a fanboy of things Finnish. I'm a student of history and I was always impressed with how your people conducted themselves in times of war. I collected Finnish Nagant rifles and admired the way your military improved the crude Russian rifle into a capable, reliable and accurate weapon. They exemplified the way your people made the most from the resources available to them.

I think making the most of what is available is a national trait and expect you will make the most of your garage space. I think we will all learn some things about efficiency from you.
