Good Morning everyone,

I am a new member, glad to be here, and need some help (already).
I just installed a Benwil 2 post car lift and wired in a VFD.
Car lift works, but I need help with the wiring for the start lever and the emergency stop.
The lift start mechanism has a transformer on it so all the help I can get will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Starting a new thread in the electrical forum with photos will be very helpful, which someone already posted the same suggestion there. And welcome.

Let me see if I get this right. You bought a 2 post that has a 3 phase motor on it. In an attempt to get it going added a vfd to convert? I have a 2 post but it is single phase. There is a motor contactor on mine.

Good morning doctordirt,
That is correct on the VFD to convert to 3 Phase, mine is an older Benwil.
I did the basic wiring and the lift works, I would just like to utilize the existing switches.
I will add pictures today.

Thanks,

Is there a reason you went with the VFD and not a static phase converter, the phase converter is a lot easier to wire up?
