Hello, all. I know I found this place a few years back, but then like so many great online resources, it slipped out of my view for a while.
But then I was looking for yard and shed ideas and found it all over again. Since then, I've been a longtime lurker. This is such a great resource with so much great information! So, thanks for building this place.
I live in a recently purchased (but previously rented) 1950s house. The property is technically county rather than city, and it's around 2.6 acres of mostly trees. It's not remote, by any means, but the spring and summer thicken the foliage enough to where I only see my immediate three neighbors. And I like that.
My projects right now are patching/renewing my yard (~3/4 acre, maybe) and updating/repairing house stuff (no vapor barrier in crawl space, attic insulation needs help, foundation mortar cracked/missing in areas). Most of this subdivision started as construction fill decades ago, and I regularly find glass, trash, metal, etc. embedded in the dirt of my lawn as it erodes, so it needs a lot of work to be niced up. No garage or outbuildings, though I just bought a discounted floor model Tuff Shed (10'x12') yesterday that I need to finish site prep for prior to delivery.
I'm really looking forward to finding ideas and reading about all of your projects.
