hello all. neat forum here. landed in some old threads a couple times via google looking up subjects so i decided to join.
as far as garage activities go, i'm a hobbyist welder and a half **** DIY mechanic.
I think the building codes in my city for a garage absolutely ****.
cannot be over 24x30 or exceed 75% of the living space, whichever is greater. so if you want a big shop it has to be attached and taxed as living space.
if i had my way i'd build a tiny 1 room house with a 60x100 detached pole barn
