Hello all,

Just found this site during a search and thought it would be a good one to join. I'm planning a future garage project for which I will definitely need some input. Sorry for the long username. In hindsight...nevermind. Feel free to shorten it to JAMO. ;)

Welcome aboard from SW Co. Been trying to relocate to Maine for several years.
Interesting. I've been wanting to live in CO since I was in junior high. lol But I've lived in ME my whole life, in fact, I still live only a few miles from where I grew up. But I did at least get to live in CO for a couple months in '97 when my work requested that I go out there to help an internet service start-up get off the ground. That was an easy decision. I loved every minute I was there (except one morning that I woke up and found a tick in my leg; luckily got it out before it made me sick. Spent every weekend in the mountains. Altitude acclimation be damned. Felt a little disoriented after the first 6k feet but I fought it and pushed through. Got up to 12k my first trip up. Funny thing though, I had to stop to relieve myself at maybe 10k so I found a secluded area, jaunted down a little decline and when I was finished I jogged back up to my car. It was no more than 50 yards but I was totally winded. Then it occurred to me, "Oh yeah, thinner air up here". lol

You had to travel to Co. to get a tick! Maine has more than enough to go around 😱
Get em every trip to Maine, but then I spend time beating the bushes to get to the fish.
