Need help with insulating a newly constructed pole barn. 30x60x12. Spray is out of the question due to cost. Does a vapor barrier have to go in first before studding and then using R15 for 2x4 walls or do I do the studding, then R15 then enclose all of that with a plastic vapor barrier. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Roll insulation with a Kraft facing is considered a vapor barrier. The only reason to use plastic is if you go with an unfaced insulation.

Just a note:
Wrapping the frame with house wrap, before putting up the siding, is always a good thing to help seal the building from drafts. I did this when I resided my shop after an addition was put on. Cut down on drafts by 95%!
