Timms the Tool Man
Member
I just wanted to say hello and quickly introduce myself. I am from Alabama (ROLL TIDE!) but currently live in Mississippi. I am an IT Specialist/Systems Admin. I am 37 married, and finally have a job that does not require me to relocate every other year.
My wife and I bought a house here last year, and this year we are going to build a garage so I knew I needed to stop lurking and join to get tips and tricks that I might not be thinking about.
It is also good to know that there are people that feel the same way that I do about tools. You see tools are my life. My job and my hobbies could be done without Snap on,Matco, Proto, Wera etc., but where other sysadmins purchase tools once a year, I purchased mine once. I am not a tool snob mind you(love HF), I just love the feel of a quality tool in my hand, and as long as I have those tools in my hand I don't have to worry about failure at a critical moment when failure is not an option.
Just to get to know me a little better, here are some of my favorite tools:
Combo wrench -- snapon flank drive
Ratcheting wrenches-- SK Xframe
Ratchet -- 3/8 gearwrench 84 tooth, 3/8 Sk 72 tooth, 1/4 snapon flex head
Screwdriver-- Wera or Klein for regular, MAC for precision
Sockets-- Matco or Gearwrech
Torque Wrench -- Harbor Freight 1/2, Duralast 3/8
Thanks for reading, if have any IT related questions feel free to PM me.
