I'm 21 years old. Married with 2 kids.
I have a few years of working on cars but switched careers.
Bought a house in January and I'm finally getting my shop built within the next month.
It's going to be a 24x31x8 sheet metal garage
(That's as big as I can afford with one income)
This is all I have so far.

Welcome from Canada. Good luck on the shop. If you can go a little taller it might be a good idea. You can always build out down the road but difficult to go up. I see a lift in your future.
