Greetings all. I'm Jim and I'm in Choctaw Oklahoma. I ran across this site looking for general info on the Econoline pressure fed media cabinet and decided to stay. As with all of you, my garage is my sanctuary. I have a three car garage but my wife insists on parking in there so I have to accomodating to her SUV. Be that as it may, my garage is my happy place. It started out as a blank slate when we moved in back in 2002. At first I was working out of boxes trying to set up house but that quickly turned in to frustration so I got my tape out and started designing cabinets. It took me about a month to build but they came out great. I have so much **** in them. No way I could do what I do without them.
In 1991 I got back in to wood working but by the time I moved in to this house I had fallen out of tat hobby. In 2005 I was given an enduro motorcycle and a minibike. I rebuilt both and ended up trading the MC for a Honda 3wheeler. Since then I have done frame off restorations on nine ATC 3wheelers. Every last nut and bolt came off. My garage is my Winter time sanctuary so when its too cold outside, I crank up my heater and work on my trikes. The Summer is too hot to spend allot of time out there but that's ok. I have other things to do when the weather is good. I painted my floor with Rustoleum Garage paint and I love it. I have always hated bare concrete but love my painted floor. I'm pretty hard on my floors and the Rustoleum paint hold up very well but it's not indestructable. Right now I'm on my 3rd paint job.
Since space is limited and my wife insists on parking her beloved SUV in my shop so space is a premium. I have a small benchtop media cabinet in it along with a small parts washer. Last Winter I bought myself a Powder Coater kit and a couple of small ovens. Now I can do all I need to to my 3wheelers except Powder Coat frames and I hope to remedy that soon. A few years back I built a 12x16 shed so I could get all my yard **** out of my shop.
I'm a former Air Force E-3 AWACS avionics technician and I have cleanliness and organizational issues so rarely is my garage in disarray. Anyway, I'm Jim and I'm a garage junkie.........
