Since I'm killing plenty of time reading the forum, I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself. We have moved around too many times on corporate relo's, but are hopefully settling in for a few years in the Raleigh area. Originally from Maine, but have lived mostly in the SE since college.
We moved into the current house on December 26th. My garage hobbies are centered around tinkering on automotive projects. Right now my only garage toy is an E46 M3 that gets used as my daily, but I suspect a track day toy will be in my future. In the past I have had Little British Cars, ran an 82 Reynard Formula Ford for a few years, did a V8 conversion on an MGB, etc.
The garage is a typical new suburban 3 car, which means you would have to drive small cars to really get three cars in there. Since we currently only have two vehicles, there is room, but a shed will likely be required to get a third car in with any amount of space. There are 13' ceilings in the garage, so there is lots of overhead space. Previous owner left lots of gridwall, and loft racks over both garage doors, so lots of space to get stuff off the floor.
The works-shop end of the single bay. Usable if you keep everything off the side walls.
The two car side.
Looking back from the single into the double
This is my first three car set-up with the 2 car plus a third bay at 90 degree to the two car that you see quite a bit in new subdivisions.
