It is time. Time to come out of the shadows of forum lurking and become involved in the community. Garage Journal has been very good to me these past few years. I had an epiphany the other night while researching why my newly installed T8 florescence lights interfere with my FM stereo. During that static radio filled night in the the shop I decided to officially join GJ.

Here are a few pictures of my shop. I hope to start a shop thread about some future upgrades. Let me know what you all think.

Thanks everyone for rolling out the welcome map.

@Stroutly- There's a new/old 235 inline for the truck under the tarp. I finally got around to pulling the old motor yesterday. Hopefully I'll have time to swap them out this weekend.

Happy birthday United States of America!

Here are a few more pictures of the truck and shop.

NoVa: that is a really cool piece of property you own. i like the old Camaro and Ford truck too. i would have thought you had a Tommy gate on the back of your old pick up so what is that bumper off of?

nice garage and looks functional. is that a welding bench along the back wall or do tell?

cheers and any other pictures you want to share please do because some of us still live in the city and can only dream of having that much space.

Thanks. No welding bench.....yet. My Dad came out to visit and whipped up a couple of work benches. They are 2x4s framed around 4x4 legs. I'll shoot a couple of pictures for you.

The tail gate is opened all the way down on the pickup (1957 Chevy 3100 with a NAPCO 4x4 system). That may be why it looks like a lift gate. The truck has a Barden bumper.

Thanks again for checking out my post.
