Stumbled accross this site while looking for plans for a two car garage.
I currently live in Rochester, NY but will soon be moving. New place has a 9x18 garage with a second floor that will be fine for my woodworking stuff so my parents are donating land so I can build a decent garage for working on my Volvos. I'm looking at something in the 24x30 range and tall enough for a lift.

Basically my main hobbies are woodworking bicycling and cars, at current I'm working on a bedroom set in cherry and two volvos.

One volvo is a 79 Bertone, the goal for this is a ground up redo of the body with custom paint and shaving the trim. I've got a reworked motor and plan on running twin turbos to try and get about 450hp out of it.

The other volvo is a 98 v70xc which I picked up for 1000 with a warped head and hope to get running. Its future plans include a stage III kit from ipd and a switch to a 6 speed manual transmission.

Previously I had a volvo 240 that I worked on while in college. I added a turbo with supporting modifications to get it to 250hp, twice what was stock and dropped it down to 2800 pounds. CNY salt and Rochester drivers took their toll on it and wrecked the body.

This was the volvo 240
Within 2 years of moving to Rochester it was hit 4 times in the side, 3 on one side and 1 on the other all well parked. It was rear ended twice both at stops, and hit once in the front, the only time I was partially responsible and the reason for the silver hood.

Under the hood. It was a 2.3l 8v with 11.5-1 compression ratio that used big injectors. Boost started at 1800rpms and it hit 15psi by 3800rpms. Cruising speeds were usually around 22-2500 rpms so it didn't take much of a step on the pedal for the turbo to kick in something. The lack of lag made for a nice mover. Not too clean but I was on a grad student's budget.

It turns out I don't have a pic of the bertone that I can locate so I swiped this one as it is the same car.

The v70xc has been sitting since the day it came home last winter with intentions of an engine rebuild, after a spring and summer of not touching it I've gotten in there and am near to having it done. The car

And the reason for the delay. I did everything from the walls to the ceiling, floor and crib.
