I just stumbled upon this site a few weeks ago and have been spending alot of time lurking here.
I am in the US Coast Guard (E-5, DC2) and as such I tend to move every 3 to 4 years so its not pratical for me to buy a home and all that. I still have 12 more years before I retire and become more geographicaly stable
I have been thinking about just buying a some land (maybe an acre or 2) and getting its payed for and then in a few years having a garage with an attached small apartment built on the land.
The way I see it, while I am active duty it would serve as a storage for my larger tools and toys, and a nice place to stay when Im home on leave.
Once I retire I can then build a house next to it if I want.
Well, thats enough about me. I think I'll go drool over in the gallery section for ahile now
