Salutations all.

My wife and I are going to be retireing soon from Active Duty Service in the US Army. We have a slice of land in NE Washington State we are going to build on and the first planned construction is going to be my shop, then as her retirement date gets closer, the house.

I look forward the undoubtably massive build ideas from this site, and thank you for letting me take a look!

WOW----MD. That's the kind of wife I needed to get the first time around. Letting you build the shop first. I assume you are a medical doctor? I shared your profession in my first life. Retirement is wonderful!!!! Hope you have as much fun as I am having.

Thanks for the welcomes guys.
It is nice to be here, though I have been trying to work my way around the site and dont have much to say just yet....

Ahhhh, sadly the MD stands for my first and middle initials, not Medical Doctor.
Had I grown up with different circumstances and college had been an option, then I certainly could have, and would have been a Doctor, though I think Surgeon.

I am a Surgeon's Assistant however, for the Army.
We are building the shop first because we have a few "big boy Toys"
In our current inventory:

1955 Chevy 2ton dump bed (farm truck)
1966 Tempest Custom Convertible
1966 Chevy C-10 undergoing a major resto-mod job as we speak
1972 LeMans Sport Convertible
1977 Chevy Cheyenne short bed 4x4 with 9" lift (farm truck)
1982 Case 580 Construction King back hoe

And with her still having 3 years till retirement after I get out, building the shop first seems more prudent.
