I've been crawling though some posts trying to get a sense of what folks thought of Greg Smith Equipment lifts and compressors. They have a store right around the corner from my office and I went int to look them over before ordering my lifts and compressor. I liked what I saw and I really liked the prices. That being said, I know nothing about their reputation and quality. Anyone out there with an informed opinion you would like to share?

Again, I am looking at them for lifts (extra tall) and air compressor (7.5HP single phase).

Also, maybe the bigger Greg Smith sandblaster. I had a bad experience with a harbor freight floor standing unit. Leaked everywhere and never seems to work very well no matter what media I used or pressure.

All good regarding the 50 Ton press I bought from them...
You are lucky and get to preview what you buy.

At the base of the hydraulic cylinder, they used an "o" ring with a with a tube to get the fitting outside of the post. This leaked from day one. I tried everything to seal it. It was almost like the "o" ring was too big.
I finally got tired of dealing with it and just ran the hose straight into the post to a real fitting from work. No biggie, just a minor pita.
Install instructions left something to be desired. Major chinese langauge barrier.

If I didn't have to pay the same for an Atlas lift as a Bendpak here, I would have bought one in a heart beat. Unfortunately they are about the same cost here and with that, the Bendpak wins.
