I was wondering if any of you guys have used the floor tile from greg smith. I ordered 510 tiles from this company. I know it is a little late to ask. Just curious. I pick my tile up in the morning. I will let you guys know how it turns out with thoughts and photos! BERM

Well i also ordered some flooring today after much review and seeing a few different floor samples. I got sample from GREG SMITH in the plastic 13''X13'' ( to clickity clack for me) and I got rubber 12''X12'' from FLOOR SURFACES (price was just way to much for me), and the 24''X24'' resilient pvc from PREMIER SPECIALTY FLOORING.
I choose the 24x24 pvc and if you want my opinion which we all have one the pvc flooring is hands down superior sample than the other two. I also could not pass on the price seeing it was better than the 2.49 for the rubber from greg smith equipment.

Mark I went to their site and couldn't find what I thought was the one you ordered. What is name of the ones you selected, colors and cost per 24X24 tile??? Thanks in advance, Bill

Bermblaster: Have you received/installed your tile yet? Opinions?

Just curious, I'm looking at these tiles myself.
Thanks.

dabucsfan. yes i received them. I like the tile and the colors are quite brilliant. I tried lacquer thinner ,brake fluid, different paint reducers, motor oil and ****** fluid. None of these fluids discolored or softend the plastic. The tiles are very easy to put together. For the most part I am happy with the product. Now on the down side. I foung that the plastic is brittle when cold. I put a couple tiles together wrong and broke a couple tabs off. no big deal. Now for the bad part. One full case of gray was damaged in shipping. I called greg smith equipt and told them about the damaged tiles. They told me to contact the shipping company [old dominion frieght] and file a claim. I guess this is industry standard. I had to order another case of tile at my expense including frieght. This I can handle. I talked to ODF and the said it should not be a problem on the claim. My problem is that when I told greg smith I was eager to finish my project that i wanted this tile asp the said it would go out thursday morning 02 /23 /06. I found out monday morning that the tile just left. I feel once they had my money I was put on the back burner. Not good customer service. I have not seen race deck tile so I don't have anything to compare to. I do like the tile. If I can help let me know! BERM

^^Floor looks great!

Thanks for the review.

I'm in FL so we don't have the super cold winters here to worry about, just the heat!

Sorry to hear about the damaged shipment, hope it works out.

I called Greg Smith Equipment about their Pro Park 7 Lift that is on sale for $1775 and asked about a floor tile that would support moving the lift on casters with or without a car on the lift.

They said the pvc tiles would not take that much abuse, but the rubber ones were relatively indestructable.

Did you order the rubber tile? If so, I'd appreciate your thoughts on them as I'm about to order 400 sq ft.

Thanks, Rob

Bermbalster - Yes, They are importing the garage tiles from China and reselling them ( and a lot of other imported products). As with anything, I would recommend getting samples and while on this forum, do some research about any business or product you are looking into..

I have VCT and have no dog in this fight. But, what I have learned over the years is you often get what you pay for; both product and customer support. From what I have read and seen, RaceDeck would be a good way to go. You may find a product cheaper, but not a better quality or customer support.

Did I mention I prefer VCT.....
