several months ago i bought the 1281 3/8 impact set and have loved it so far the case is great, i travel for work some so it is great for throwing in the sevice van and not take up space. im just curious if anyone has any long term experiance with these sockets and set. they are mostly behind an aircat th350 3/8 impact.

That set is fantastic. They grab well and break rarely. My best buddy has the same set and they get abused. He hasn't broken one yet even after many runs with a proto 1/2 wrench and a 3/8 adapter. I'd say he's used them for a year or so and they look fine.

No experience with the 3/8" impact set, but I recently picked up a 1326MD master metric deep wall 1/2" set and have been impressed with their strength and quality. I also have a 1/4" Duo master set and would rate them 10/10 for quality and durability. Been using that set heavily for the past two years.

I would not hesitate to get a 3/8" GP socket set, given the high quality and strength of the two sets I have. The blow-molded cases are excellent as well.

GP is very high quality. Them and Sunex are two HUGELY under-rated and under represented names in sockets. For standard deep/shallow impacts, they are the cheap/easy/reliable option.
