This has to be an error on Sears' part. I got on UnbeatableSale.com's website and this set sells for ovre $450. This set is consistently over $400 on ebay as well. Either way, I ordered one in hopes that they don't notice :lol: This is a complete steal if I can get this for under $23 shipped.

My order is currently processing, and I will let everyone know if/when I get shipping conformation.

It was removed as I was buying. So close, but they would probably cancel the order anyways.

They (unbeatable sales) had these sets listed on ebay for between $15-$30 recently and cancelled people's orders (quite a few negative feedbacks left for them for the cancellations). Curious to see how it goes buying through sears.

I made the mistake of testing this one about a week ago. DO NOT DO IT. I ordered one set and figured I would get a cancellation notice. Instead I got a shipping notice. Thought I scored. I ordered three more sets because I know some folks that could use them. Once the first order shipped, I was checking the status on the UPS site and noticed the package weight was .2 lbs. That's a little light for a 3/4" drive impact socket set. Sent an email to their customer service voicing my concern that the 60 lb socket set says only .2 lbs on the shippers site. Here it what I got back from them: "We have received your message. Unfortunately we do not have Grey Pneumatic 29 peice set that was shown on Sears' website. When the order was placed with us, our system shows the order for a Hanson 5/16" 24 NF thread Steel Plug Tap, and that is what was shipped.

We are sorry that your order did not arrive as expected.

If you would like to keep the item, rather than return, we would be happy to issue a refund of 50% off your item cost. Please let us know."

Long story short, I'm trying to get them to send me pre-paid shipping labels to return these and refund my original shipping costs since the item described is not anything close to the item sent out. I did some Googling after the email and found some negative comments on their eBay site from over a month earlier with people complaining about the same exact ad. They've had over a month to fix this issue but looks like they didn't fix all ads. The worst part is, once I figured out the item shipped was different than what was sent out, I called their customer service and cancelled the second order. Later that night I received an email with my UPS tracking number for the order. Worse-case scenario, it's gonna cost me about $50 to teach me a lesson about trying to work the system. Sometimes, I hate learning lessons. But if anyone here is looking for some $23 5/16 Hanson taps that normally retail for about $6, I have four of them.

**** dewmor. I looked at the sears order center and don't see a way to cancel it. Figure I can always dispute it with the credit card company if need be but will be a waste of time.

Wonder if Sears can do anything about it?
Looks like that tap is only a few bucks, so 50% off and you'd still be paying a crazy high amount for it

Took screen shots of my order and if it arrives as something else, I'll contact some upper management people in Sears Customer Service that I've dealt with before.

EDIT: Googled the part number they have listed (AHN-8129). Yup, it's a tap. Oh well....

I'd talk to sears customer service. What the company is doing is illegal (regardless of whether it was intentional or accidental). Sears should handle the refund and then go after the company.

If not, file a complaint with the FTC. I will be doing the same soon. Everyone who ordered should file a complaint, as if they get enough complaints, they will actually investigate.

I just checked my Paypal account and my payment has been canceled without any prompting from myself. After reading the post from dewmor it seems it's for the best. Perhaps Sears is wise to the shady dealings of this vendor.

After reading what Dewmor posted, I hope no one else orders these! Either way, I have no problem calling my credit card company and letting them know that the seller is not sending the items that I purchased. Luckily Chase's Freedom card is really easy to deal with and I never have any issues when filing a claim like this.

The funny part is that when each order shipped, I received an email form Sears stating it shipped followed by an email from Unbeatable saying it shipped. Both emails say the item shipped is : " 8129 29 pc. 0.75 in. Drive 12 Pt. Fractional Master Set." The printout in the actual package received says item ordered is the 5/16 tap. As soon as I can get some time to slip away here at work, I'll start pounding the phones again to wrap this up.

If the regular customer service can't solve it, I'm PMing you a number that has helped me in the past with sears problems. Its more of a last resort thing, so try other ways first, then call if you are getting no where. They generally don't help you unless you have tried dealing with the regular customer service.

Try contacting them. Also, it's the weekend right now, so they may get to your order Monday. At least you used paypal so you'll be able to get your money back if unbeatable Sale becomes difficult.

Kinda funny, the email starts with "You have received a response to your message from UnbeatableSale.com, Inc. in regards to your Order #682220561." BUT I never sent them a msg and the subject refers to a 10% off coupon, but there is no coupon code in the email.
At least I won't need to worry about calling my CC company if a tap came in the mail!

My paypal order is still pending and I have never received any emails from the seller. I wish paypal would let you cancel a pending transaction after a few days of pending status. Oh well lesson learned, I will check part numbers next time. At least it appears they have not shipped me a tap.
