Grill question..

I have a Broil King Signet. I changed it from propane to natural gas. The issue is the flame is orange, it's not blue as it should be. I drilled out the orifices to the correct size. The flame seems a little high when on high and there is a loss of control of the temp sense I changed it over.

Do I need a ng regulator?

Ng operates on about 4" pressure , propane operates at about 10". So yes you need a new regulator. Appliance regulators normally can be changed over from one to the other by removing the spring and changing the setup of the spring seat. Grill regulators would not be designed to change unless the grill was rated for both gases from the factory. You should have gotten new orifices from the mfg if they make them. Also the air blades on the burner should be adjusted also as not enough air makes the flames orange. If the grill was not designed for NG then you may not be able to get enough adjustment to get the flames right.
