Grinder Value

Listed in a local online auction as a "heavy duty 10"floor mount grinder 220 volt, works good per seller"

I have 240 Volt (220 V) access in my shop

Barely enclosed motor, inadequately supported wheels (too far from the bearings), no tool rests, and lousy home made guards. It does have a decent looking stand I'd probably give at least something for. Looks like something to get hurt with to me. Ed.

Agree with Oregon rock crusher. I wouldn't use that grinder if I was paid to. Wouldn't bring it home if it was free. Except maybe to salvage the stand, can't quite tell from the picture.

Keep in mind it could be 3 phase, and probably is if it doesn't say otherwise. Doesn't really look like any prize to me, how hard are grinders to come by around there?

I know those grinders.
There will be marks under the right wheel.
Long marks and short marks.
The short ones are maims
The long ones are kills.

This is a case of;
If you don't know exactly what it is and what it does and have lots of experience on this model, you gotta pass even for free.

OK that scares me enough to pass on this.
