So the story is I just had my slab poured a week ago. They did a decent job but they could have probably power trialled it a little bit better. It's super slick in the center but around the edges on so so. My question is how long before the floor can be grind to put down an epoxy coating. And is it unrealistic to grind the floor before the building gets installed. I just thought maybe it would be easier and would keep dust from the walls. So my main question is if I grind it now and then clean it good and do the epoxy flooring about 8 weeks later. Does it make a difference? Do I lose the purpose of grinding it if I wait that long. Or am I just thinking stupid thoughts.

Prep as close as you can to the install date. A grinder should have a proper vac attached to it so as to keep the dust down to a minimum. A Diamabrush throws tons of dust since they don't have a shroud, so we would recommend staying away from that if dust is a concern.
