Grinding floor, can you use water?

Looking to grind/level the floor in my buisness workshop using a floor grinder.

All the ones i have looked at hiring (im in the UK) dont have any thing to prevent dust. Seems to be the norm As i'll be doing it in stages in a working workshop, my question was can i keep the floor wet to keep the dust down. Will it still grind OK?

Yep. I did my entire 1200 sq/ft floor like that. I wet the floor, then went over it with the grinder. Worked GREAT.

Just be careful with your power cords.
