Grinding floor

Hi Bruce27834, yes you would want to diamond grind the floor to get off any sealer before trying to apply epoxy on top. No epoxy would do well on top of a sealer. I just had to do this for my project. Epoxy needs a rough surface to stick, like a 80-120 grit sandpaper ideally. A primer is good, but epoxy wants "an epoxy" primer, not something else. So think of the primer as just another layer of the epoxy. Could be a thinned coat or a cheaper water based epoxy though. To avoid your tire peeling, use a good 100% solids basecoat and diamond grind it first. - Paul

What is the average price of an approach. Got a 14 and 8 foot. Plus a 36 walk in. He is trying to offer those to offset price of grind

Well got paid for the grind project. Had to threaten him with lawyer and beating his *** if he raised his voice to my wife again. Now I decide do I put sealer down or epoxy coat. Same price either way. 1500 bucks. Hard decision . Complete custom car fab shop with dedicated weld area.
