Looks like this is an OTC 5200, and also has been discontinued.

It was given to me by a friend who used it for his race car and then when it stopped working, he just bought another jack.

It appears that it was empty of oil; I bought some last week and put some in the jack today, and found that it appears that the piston part of part 11 on the diagram is not extending, even with spring pressure on it. Prying on it with a pry bar and tapping with a hammer did not result in any motion.

I can still get a seal kit for about $40 but part 11 is NLA and so is the whole hydraulic ram assembly apparently.

Is it worth my time to order the seal kit, or should I just drop it off for scrap? It looks like a nice jack and I hate to give up on it, but if there are no parts available... I also don't know how to disassemble with that part frozen.

Update: While sorting my tools I found a huge pair of Channellocks that were my grandfathers, so I grabbed the "head" of the offending part and wiggled it until it released a little, then hit it with some penetrating oil. I realize that the latter has a good chance of swelling a seal but otherwise this thing was junk. It appears to be working now after going up and down a few full cycles. I guess I should probably go ahead and order the seal kit because it'll probably be necessary but the good news is it was all the way down and the piston was stuck *in* so the chrome on everything looks good.

Now the question is, do I keep it or put it on Craigslist? It's a nice jack but it is so heavy that it's a workout carrying it up from the shed to the carport, and I already have a HF aluminum low-pro.
