I've used one and plan to buy one. I think that kit is usually around $300, so $200 is a good price if you want all of the cleaners and polishes. I've been buying stuff from Griot's for many years and have never been disappointed.

The same kit is $180 on Ebay right now, so the lightning deal will have to beat that price to get me interested.

I believe the Griot's orbital is a re-branded Ingersoll Rand but their polish and wax products are top-notch.

In any case I bought the complete set myself a couple years ago and have never regretted it. Best of Show wax is a bit of pain to apply but it is by far the best wax I've ever used, the finish is absolutely amazing! Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

A shot of my fender after the 3-step claybar/polish/wax process using the Griot's kit:

Love Griots products and their 6" orbital! It should be known that they just released a new version of the 6" model, not sure if it matters to you or not.

The deal now is at $99 and free shipping. Half off.

So I believe this will be the older version of the unit, but still a very good one, including the detail kit.

Yeah, I just pulled the trigger. I noticed they weren't claimed right away so wasn't sure if it was a deal or not.

Thanks for the heads up! I have had the Griots and PC polisher in my Amazon cart for a couple of months. This Cyber Monday price made the decision easy... With a new to me black sports car, this will come in handy!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

I agree the Flex XC3401 is a strong machine and the price differential between that and the Porter Cable makes one contemplate how serious a machine you need. That is debated all over the web on detailing websites between the Flex and Porter Cable.

The Griots machine does have the lifetime warranty and has received good reviews for customer service. I believe it is Porter Cable based.

That being said, I will need to try it out. At that price, the detail items are worth at least $50 and I do like their products. So I figure $50 for the polisher is not a bad risk.

i have the griots 6 and 3 inch machines. I love them. i used their polishes this summer 1-3 and I'm impressed with the results. I have their best of show wax, but haven't used it yet as I'm finishing up a fairly new bottle of Mothers. I also am a big fan of the interior cleaner, vinyl and rubber dressing, and the speed shine. In my opinion the speed shine is the best detail spray I've used yet.
