Derek that's good to hear and sounds like what I have in my car cleaning boxes.

BTW - I'd be a happy camper if you guys made your bottles narrower at the bottom and wider at the top so they didn't eat up as much space in a storage box.

I have been using Griot's products for a few years and am happy with the results . Not the cheapest stuff out there ,but the results are good.
I like the Best of show wax, paint clay ,speed shine, and car wash.
I especially like their rubber and vinyl dressing... seems to have the right amount of shine. I tried Meguires and 3M products but thought they were overrated.

I searched the forum for Griot's Garage products and only came up with two hits. I just wanted to know "GOOD", "BAD", or "IN BETWEEN?" Thanks for the input.
I personally have yet to use their products but a close friend of mine is a detailing OCD junky. He has purchased thousands of dollars worth of detailing supplies for many different companies and Griots Garage is one of his favorties. He also highly recomends Pinnacle. In fact Autogeek.net sells both brands and they donated a $130 Pinnacle detail kit for one of our car shows and the winner loves it.

I've been pretty happy with the quality of Griot's chemical products, pricing aside. (It is mostly true that you get what you pay for.)

Their 'invented here' products are usually top-notch and innovative, but, as was the case with Sharper Image, for their 3rd-party products, I have been able to find them from other vendors at prices that are ½-¾ the price that Griot's charges -- it does take some sleuthing, however, and you don't get the convenience of Griot's one-stop shopping and fantastic customer service.

I was looking through the creeper thread and figured I'd glance at Griot's current offerings, where I found they mark-up their kneeling pads 300% over comparable offerings...

For example:

Foam Kneeling Pad

Griots - $19.95 (20"x13x1" NBR)
Amazon - $6.40 (18"x11".75" EVA)

Wonder Winder

Griot's - $29.95
Amazon - $17.58
Local 'Home Improvement Center' - $20

Hoover L2310 GUV 10 Amp 5-Gallon Garage Utility Vacuum

Griot's - $229.00 ($30 higher than MSRP)
Amazon - $153.42

Griot's products are awesome. I have been using them for several years. The Engine Bay Dressing is great. I spray down my V10 in the Excursion once a month. Looks like new. The best thing I did was to go to their seminars. One in Indianapolis, IN last summer and one in St. Charles, IL last spring. I received a lot of good tips. They may be expensive but when used properly (as I found) they go along way. The Spray on Car wash is pretty cool product. I also have the extra large Micro Fiber drying towel. I can dry the entire Excursion with it when I used to use around 15 towels (wife didn't like the laundry). I used to have a great contact at Griot's for tech support, Dustin Wilson but he no longer returns my e-mails. Derek what is your e-mail for tech support. I have used just about all their products on my trucks and the kids cars. They have worked out very well. One thing with the waxes they work far better with an orbital. I have the Porter Cable but the Griot's machine is a lot smoother with less vibration. I tried it out in Indy last summer. Keep in mind when looking for a wax/polish consider the ease of application also. The harder you have to work the less likely you will shine on you pride and joy. Last fall I Clay bared the entire truck then used the Machine Polish1&2 followed by the One Step (Suggested by Dustin in Indy when he looked at it) and now it looks like you can reach into the paint. Griot's keep up the good work and post your shows in the Indianapolis, IN and Chicago,IL areas this summer.

By the way my F150 pictured is a 2008 60Th Anniversary Edition. I used the Clay Bar followed by the Machine Polish 3 & 4. I used the Best Of Show wax (2 Coats) and Speed Shined just before the picture was taken. I used the Under Carriage Spray in the wheel wells and also the bed liner (works great but slippery when wet). I used the Spray on Car Wash all summer and was great not having to drag out the hose to remove the "Dust Layer" But I highly recommend the Micro Fiber towels from them for this. The Engine Bay Dressing rounded out the detail. No I am not an employee just a detail fanatic on my trucks.

rjmkn good points and i am too a fan of Griot's for many years now and also was at the class Griot's put on off Ogden Ave think it was at the dealer ship. Had a great time and learned alot but for me I did not really like there engine bay dressing and was a pain to get off. Had way to much of a plastic look and also cracked on me like it was a coating that was think if that makes sense. Btw nice looking 150 have a 06 that loves Best of Show :bounce:

Thanks for all the kind words guys! If any of you are interested in the tech sessions rjmkn and mjn are talking about keep your eye on our Events Calendar. We'll be updating it constantly as shows get booked.
