I know these are rather new, the dual drive style bits in 1/4 drive. Grip edge advertises these as "7/16 (11mm)" driven end via a wrench, IIRC 11mm was the size in video on the bit. 7/16 is around 11.1mm.

I used the 1/4 astro 78345, which the Grip Edge bits go into and lock securely. However the VIM FRW11 doesn't work. Granted neither of these brands nor Grip Edge claim that they're compatible. The VIM will not fully accept the bits, and you need pliers and some effort to remove them if you try.

I think these are going to be great, I'm sold on Grip edge for hex. Just wanted to add this information if someone wanted to use these with the Astro handle.

Is it just the fixed boxed end of the VIM FRW11 that doesn't fit or the ratcheting end too? Surprised because, being made in Taiwan, I'd think Gripedge would be 11mm :dunno: Then again, Gripedge might want them to work only with their wrench if they offer one.

Thats funny it fits well, dumb luck or designed for it you think?

I think luck. Just looking at the bits they appear they would fit the VIM better than the Astro. The astro design has the retaining ring more centered in the wrench, VIM has the retaining ring more near the edge.

On the 1/4 drive nano sockets, they have the retaining ring grove in the center of the socket. Which made me think the Astro wasn't going to work at all as the Grip Edge have the groove relatively near the edge where the drive end interface is. I think the difference is the grip edge is shorter overall in the hex portion, allowing the groove to line up despite appearing way off.

I tried the ratcheting and the fixed. I could not fully get the bit into either, I had to put the VIM in a vise and use pliers to pull the bit back out. LOL

The VIM fits the nano sockets okay, not super secure but they work.
